Biography

Bright Adiyia has nearly 15 years of experience in energy and climate policy. At VITO/EnergyVille, he leads the energy policy research team, guiding strategic research that supports European, national, and local agendas. He coordinates two major European Commission initiatives — the Smart Cities Marketplace and the Heat Pump Accelerator Platform — fostering large-scale clean energy collaboration. Formerly, he advised Belgium’s federal government and led Hasselt’s climate adaptation team, combining policy expertise and leadership to advance the clean energy transition.
