The Green Exhibitor Award celebrates exhibitors who actively work to reduce their environmental impact. In line with our Towards Zero Waste initiative —designed to minimize the environmental footprint of event celebrations— and the Smart City Expo’s mission to build efficient, inclusive, and sustainable cities, this award aims to raise awareness and promote responsible participation throughout the event.
The winner is announced during the World Smart City Awards Ceremony, in front of a large, global audience of smart city professionals.
AND THE WINNER IS...
The Czech Republic, led by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, brought a bold, holistic approach to sustainability at SCEWC25.
Building on its 2024 award, the Czech pavilion combined proven practices with fresh innovations that push the boundaries of sustainable exhibiting. Its core focus lies in circular-economy principles and high-impact design strategies like refuse, rethink, and reduce.
To make sustainability tangible, the pavilion partnered with Czech company Tripeduca to create an interactive AR game that guides visitors through the space, showcasing sustainable materials and innovative features.

The Green Exhibitor Award highlights and encourages sustainable practices before, during, and after the event. We invite exhibitors to take bold steps and implement meaningful sustainability measures throughout their participation in SCEWC25 —such as donating leftover materials after the event through our Donating Room.

Who Can Apply?
All exhibitors with booth sizes up to 30m² are eligible to apply. Each application is evaluated based on booth sustainability (design, structure, and materials use) and sustainable actions implemented before, during, and after the event.
