Tech sovereignty is becoming a defining consideration in the roll-out of AI solutions across cities. As local governments accelerate AI adoption, they face growing challenges around regulatory compliance, resource allocation, citizen trust, and integration in the existing infrastructure. This session will explore how cities are balancing innovation and AI while navigating an evolving geopolitical landscape, where questions of societal impact, strategic autonomy and control over sensitive infrastructure and technologies are becoming increasingly pressing.
