From Metropolitan Challenges to Strategic Action: Equity, Diversity and Participation in Public Space
Large cities are facing a wide range of interconnected challenges, but too often local governments lack the technical capacity to address these issues through long-term solutions that allow them to advance their ambitious urban agendas. The Metropolis Global City Support program aims to bridge this gap by providing technical assistance to cities throughout a six-month period, helping them address complex urban challenges with stronger evidence, clearer governance arrangements and more feasible pathways for implementation.
Led by Metropolis and funded by the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD), this program will offer tailored support to 6 selected cities between 2026 and 2028. Three cities are already benefiting from this support, discover their projects.
