Sílvia Paneque i Sureda

Biography

Since 2021 she has been a member of the Parliament of Catalonia, where she has led the Climate Action Commission. She has been a councillor in Girona City Council since 2011 until her appointment as a councillor of the Government of Catalonia. Between 23 March 2016 and 27 October 2017 she was First Deputy Mayor of Girona and head of the Area of Equality, Social Rights, Labour, Youth and Security. In the professional field, she has worked as a chemist, associate professor and researcher at the University of Girona. She has also been general manager of two companies in the cork stopper sector with international exports.
