Biography
Jörk Cardeneo is a member of the city council of Düsseldorf since 2009. Over the years he has added a European dimension to his local mandate. Since January 2023 he has been the spokesperson for digitalisation, ai and public infrastructure at CEMR in Brussels, the main voice of local and regional governments towards the EU institutions. In April 2025 he joined the presidium of the German section of that organisation. Since 2026 he has also been a member of the World Council of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG). His work connects day-to-day city politics with European policymaking.Sessions
