Councillor Daryl Barron was elected the 359th Lord Mayor of Dublin on 29th June 2026.
With a theme ‘Our Dublin’, Lord Mayor Daryl Barron focuses on the delivery of local initiatives across the city under three decisive executive pillars:
1. A Safer and Cleaner Capital
2. Tackling Dereliction, Vacancy, and the Housing Crisis
3. Empowering Youth and Honouring Communities
He aims to position Dublin internationally to drive economic resilience and strengthen local democracy, particularly during the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
