WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT OUR CONGRESS

This is a very good platform to share best practices all over the world, regardless of whether they are from Global North or Global South, because we are all facing the same challenges.

Nikki Greenberg

Founder and Chief Innovation Officer, Real Estate of the Future

WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT OUR CONGRESS

The greatest benefit of Smart City Expo is that it brings together decision-makers from around the world to showcase what they’ve accomplished in their own cities so other city leaders can learn from their example.

David Zipper

Senior Fellow, MIT Mobility Initiative (MMI)

WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT OUR CONGRESS

If you start with an actual problem that people are facing, then a technological solution will be inherently useful. And here, at Smart City Expo, there are plenty of ideas and activity.

Linda Gustafsson

Gender Equality Officer, Municipality of Umea, Sweden

WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT OUR CONGRESS

It’s always good to be in conversation with people and organizations from around the world. Here we can learn about innovation and bring home new ideas to implement.

Jeff Merritt

Head of Urban Transformation, World Economic Forum

WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT OUR CONGRESS

I’ve been coming for this event for ten years now. And there’s no other place in the world like it. I think it’s an essential place for cities, for anybody who care about the future of our cities. If you’re not here, how are you going to actually connect together?

Nidya Pesántez

Representative in Bolivia, UN Women for the Americas and the Caribbean

WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT OUR CONGRESS

Events like this create models that inspire both women and men to see collaboration as the natural way to work toward a better life. It’s a great scenario to show us life can be different.

Claire O’Neill

Former UK Climate and Energy Minister, Global Decarbonization Advisor

WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT OUR CONGRESS

It’s my first time here but I know it’s been running for many years and it’s an amazing event. I think so many of the solutions we need are in these halls… So, not only does it give us the sense of the solutions, I think it can give us a sense of hope and a sense of courage as well.

Miguel de Castro Neto

Dean / Urban Analytics Lab Coordinator, NOVA IMS / NOVA Cidade

WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT OUR CONGRESS

I strongly believe that this event is like the world stage for the edge innovation in the context of smart cities. It enables us to take advantage of this unique opportunity to go further in the digital transformation to be able to provide quality of life for people in the cities.
