Beyond Infrastructure: The Cycling Industry’s Role in Driving the Modal Shift

Much of the focus around the promotion of active mobility has been on cities and infrastructure. While it is essential to build a robust cycling infrastructure network, other barriers to cycling, other than safety - such as theft, maintenance or consumer perception -need to be tackled by the private sector. This session will discuss the role of the industry in driving modal shift in urban areas.
