Biography

Andrew Smyth, the Carleton Professor of Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics at Columbia University is the PI and Director of the NSF Center for Smart Streetscapes and is the Co-Chair of the Smart Cities Center at the Columbia Data Science Institute. He specializes in infrastructure sensing, data- and physics-based modeling and simulation.
