Join us at the 12th edition of this key matchmaking event.

Registration for the 2023 Smart Cities’ Challenges now open!

The Smart Cities’ Challenges (formerly known as Brokerage Event) is the hugely popular international matchmaking activity providing a unique opportunity to have a series of 30-minute, pre-scheduled B2B and B2P meetings according to your interests and goals, with a view to establishing valuable connections with potential business partners and clients.

The activity will offer the opportunity of virtual meetings for those attending SCEWC23 digitally.

The event’s aim is to support SMEs, start-ups, entrepreneurs, universities, research groups, corporations and institutions in finding partners for product development, manufacturing, licensing agreements, joint ventures or other types of collaboration.

CHALLENGE AREAS

This year’s Smart Cities’ Challenges will have three different programs to spur collaboration:

Open Innovation Challenges

Matchmaking meetings between public entities and private corporations planning to launch an innovation procurement, and providers of innovative solutions that can respond to its specific needs.

Urban Transition Challenges

The Challenge on Urban Transition aims at identifying cities, consortia, and investors in need of support to accelerate and finance their smart and sustainable projects. Online sessions pre and post the in-person workshop on 08/Nov.

Cities' Challenges

Cities/regions exposing their upcoming procurement plans in different Smart City areas, interacting with the market to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.

CALL FOR OPEN INNOVATION CHALLENGE OWNERS!

Participate as a Challenge Owner in the Open Innovation Challenge. The program is aimed at Managers of Innovation departments of public institutions who are planning to launch innovation procurement tenders within the next 3 years, those who have open tenders or ongoing market consultations on the date of the event, and also open to private corporations with structured open innovation challenges.

CALL FOR URBAN TRANSITION CHALLENGE OWNERS!

Participate as a Challenge Owner in the Urban Transition Challenge. Managed by the EU Smart Cities Marketplace, it aims at identifying cities, consortia, and investors in need of support to accelerate and finance their smart and sustainable projects.

Activites comprising 1-to-1 consultancy, guidance services and/or peer2peer exchanges from and with EC Smart City experts.
