She is currently Smart City Administrator for the City of San Antonio and advises UN-Habitat’s People-Centered Smart Cities program. Emily holds a Masters in Urban Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Collaboration, innovation, equity, and technology, and their perfect integration in the process, are key factors to establishing a smart ecosystem, but the path tends to be complex and long. This session aims to go deep into these four foundations to achieve smarter cities through examples including local, regional, and national efforts.
