Biography

Carolyn Daher is a public health specialist connecting research, and implementation to build healthier communities. She has a B.A. in Environmental Studies (Brown Univ), MPH (Johns Hopkins Univ) and a Master in Psychosocial Intervention (Univ of Barcelona).She coordinates ISGlobal’s Urban Health Initiative and is Program Director for ISUH.

Centred around principles such as accessibility, proximity, or tactical urbanism, these concepts call for an overhaul of how public space is distributed in cities – and could completely reset urban mobility systems. How far are cities from implementing this vision? What are priorities areas that should be addressed to get there?
