Women in Tech and Innovation
Cities are complex blends of multigenerational, multi-ethnic and multi-gendered populations. The action city stakeholders take today directly impacts how everyone of us experience urban environments. Women often make up the most vulnerable populations of cities, in terms of safety, health and family planning, and economic insecurity. Yet it sometimes seems that women are invisible in the urban planning process. How do we as women leaders work to insure that are our urban centers remain inclusive as they grow, and how can we also ensure that they reflect all aspects of society, multigenerational, multicultural and diverse? How can we better engage with citizens to ensure that cities meet the needs for generations to come? This talk reveals how cities can leverage the power of women leadership and innovation to make impact in ways that are positive, inclusive and equitable.
