Smart Cities in Africa: Bold Vision with a dose of reality

The session will focus on the bold vision of African policy makers to promote smart cities in response to the rapid growth of urbanization in Africa. The session will embed the vision for Smart Cities offered by the Smart Africa Alliance, a partnership of 32 African countries to accelerate economic development through digital technologies, with the practical insights from gradually transforming Johannesburg, South Africa into a smart city.
