The future of urbanization is already suffering the impacts of climate change, and cities must learn how to face this global challenge as they are at the forefront of climate action and responsible for most GHG emissions. As local authorities are investing in ambitious mitigation and adaptation actions to build up climate resilience, this session will explore what cities are already lowering emissions, sharing their learned lessons, and collaborating with the private sector, civil society, academia, and regional governments to achieve ambitious climate targets.
