The first Mexican congress about Urban Innovation Towards Equitable Cities was a resounding success.
The first ever Smart City Expo Puebla placed Mexico as the Latin American capital of smart cities. Over the three days, the almost 8,000 attendees, speakers, companies and exhibitors addressed the challenges that are currently facing major cities, with a specific focus on the needs and idiosyncrasies of those in Latin America.
Organized jointly with Fira de Barcelona, the Smart City Expo Puebla event provided the ideal arena for those principal institutions and individuals who are spearheading these changes and urban transformations at the Centro Expositor de Puebla. Attendees and exhibitors alike shared experiences or knowledge in plenary and parallel sessions with renowned keynote speakers. In addition, major companies and institutions demonstrated and showcased their latest smart urban solutions or most innovative projects.
The summit achieved broad institutional support from the Mexican federal, state and municipal government, serving as a space to bring together those representatives and leading figures in all the issues related to smart cities.
