As a thought-leader in the emerging blockchain space, she leads the blockchain practice at Animal Ventures, including research, development, and commercialization across the ecosystem of blockchain innovation. Animal Ventures focuses on tech companies operating in verticals such as Blockchain, Digital Platforms, Artificial and Augmented Intelligence, and Internet of Things. She is passionate about the convergence of technology and politics and the impact it will have on our future. She developed a keen interest in global governance and cultural diplomacy. As a Public Foresight Strategist at the Institute for the Future, a Silicon Valley think tank, Bettina brought a futures lens to a variety of strategic initiatives with top corporations, foundations, education institutions, and city governments.

As a specialist in security and development, he oversees research and technology development at Igarapé Institute and at the SecDev Foundation, a cyber analytics group. He is affiliated with the University of Oxford, University of San Diego, as well as the Center for Conflict, Development and Peace at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, in Switzerland. His work on new technology, arms transfers, and fragile cities has been featured in the Atlantic, BBC, CNN, Der Spiegel, Fast Company, Financial Times, the Guardian, New York Times, Quartz, Wired and many other outlets. In 2013 he was named one of the top 100 most influential people in violence reduction and in 2016 was nominated by the UN Secretary General to advise the preparation of a global review of youth, peace and security.

He is a medical doctor with a distinguished career in public service and diplomacy. From 1990 to 1994, he was the Deputy Mayor in charge of finance and budgeting, playing a key role in preparations for the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. He was twice elected Mayor of Barcelona, serving two terms from 1997 until 2006. He was Minister of Industry, Tourism, and Trade of Spain between 2006 and 2008. At the international level, in 1998 Dr. Clos was elected President of Metropolis, the international network of cities. Two years later, he was elected President of the World Association of Cities and Local Authorities (WACLAC). Dr. Clos received a number of awards, including a gold medal from the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1999 for transforming Barcelona. In 2002, he won the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour Award for encouraging global cooperation between local authorities and the United Nations.

He works to push innovation through education. As a multi-entrepreneur, he has created 9 companies since 1989 in various areas of activity. He was the elected president of the French National Digital Council (CNN), from 2011 to 2012. The Council is in charge of advising the government on digital economy and new technology. Under his presidency, it focused on Government reform programs to boost competitiveness. The CNN was specially committed to the development of e-education, innovation funding and open-data. He was appointed French Digital Champion in 2012 by Fleur Pellerin, French minister of digital technologies, and works with Neelie Kroes, European Commissioner in charge of digital technologies. This function is the follow up of his former position as president of the French National Digital Council (CNN).

In 2006, Jason formed the non-profit organization, Oak Cliff Transit Authority, to revive the Dallas streetcar system, and later spearheaded the city's effort in garnering a $23 Million dollar grant from the federal government to help reintroduce a modern streetcar system to Dallas. In 2010, Jason organized a series of "Better Block" projects, taking blighted blocks with vacant properties in Dallas and converting them into temporary walkable districts with pop-up businesses, bike lanes, cafe seating, and landscaping. The project has now become an international movement occurring everywhere from Melbourne, Australia to Tehran, Iran, and has been featured in the New York Times, Dwell magazine, TED Talks and National Public Radio.

Under his leadership, Nesta has moved out of the public sector to become a charity (in 2012), launched a range of new initiatives in investment, programmes and research and has implemented a new strategy involving partnerships with foundations, governments and companies in the UK and internationally. Between 1997 and 2004 Geoff had various roles in the UK government including director of the Government's Strategy Unit and head of policy in the Prime Minister's office under Tony Blair. He is an adviser to many governments around the world. From 2015R2018 Geoff is a senior visiting scholar at Harvard University, in the Ash Center at the Kennedy School. From 2016 Geoff is co-chair of a new World Economic Forum group looking at innovation and entrepreneurship in the fourth industrial revolution. He is also member of the board of the French government's French Digital Agency; chair of an international advisory committee for the Mayor of Seoul and member of an advisory committee in the Prime Minister's office in UAE
