Powered by FIWARE technologies, CROMA –by HandMadeDance and Pelayo Méndez– was one of the winning projects of the Creative Ring Challenge and was featured in La Mercè 2016 program.
CROMA contemporary dance performance connects two dancers located in different places, representing two pixels, non-human units of light, colour and digital action. Those two stages are connected, sharing images from each other and combining them through their walls thanks to the FIWARE technologies.
The dance and the choreography will be connected with the projections, audio and music on stage. During the show, the walls of the CROMA set will give each pixel inputs to follow. Audio reactive software and a colour rule game will be controlling the room's digital environment during the show. The journey of the two pixels will take the audience through different phases, encounters and collective dances.
CROMA is ready to be powered, in more extensive exhibitions, by Kalliópê Interactive Solutions, the transmedia massive interaction tool and app, developed and validated during CreatiFI's Open Call and acceleration process. Kalliópê is based on the FIWARE GE ‘Orion Context Broker' that eases to subscribe and publish resources and events associated with multiple specific contexts.
